Dr. Frankfurt is a licensed clinical psychologist in Asheville, NC. She obtained her doctorate in psychology from the University of Memphis. She earned her Master of Science from the University of Memphis. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Hendrix College. Dr. Frankfurt completed her doctoral internship in the Veterans Affairs Health Administration.
Dr. Frankfurt offers services in the field of clinical psychology, has an eclectic orientation and a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She treat adults from the ages of 18 through end-of life with a variety of mental health concerns including: mood disorders (depression, bipolar), anxiety disorders (worry, generalized anxiety, panic, phobia), PTSD (including sexual trauma-military and civilians) and other trauma-related psychological injuries, grief, women's issues, stress, and relationship issues.
She uses empirically supported treatments that are backed by research and practice. In addition to psychotherapy, Dr. Frankfurt provides behavioral health services to assist with insomnia, smoking cessation, and weight loss among other things.
